Johnswell NS is a Catholic, co-educational primary school, which strives to provide a well ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are catered for.

The school follows the Primary School Curriculum, as laid down by the Department of Education and Skills. 

Johnswell Afterschool is now open in the school from 2pm-6pm! 

This is subsidised by the National Childcare Scheme (NCS)

We endeavour to provide a range of skills and approaches to offer the best academic opportunities for our students. 

We have a dedicated trained SEN staff to provide the most inclusive education possible. We have two sensory rooms and outdoor learning spaces to promote well-being.

Music Generation is an integral part of our school life. The students get the opportunity to enhance their musical ability and express themselves. 

We have a large playing field, a basketball court and a yard. The children are given the freedom to enjoy all these areas at lunchtime. 

We recognise the importance of the world around us and the children are given the appreciation of the beautiful environs of Johnswell. We hope to make the school as wildlife friendly as possible through our pond, meadows and polytunnel.

We have outdoor learning pods, a seating area,  a school pond, a polytunnel and a wildflower meadow.

We have a brilliant Green Schools Committee who keeps us all on our toes to promote a greener school!
